POMONA-- The SF State Gators will finish off their season long 9-game trip this weekend with a four-game series in Pomona, Calif. The Gators will begin their four-game series at No. 10 Cal Poly Pomona Broncos at Scolinos Field, on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona, this Friday, April 4 with a single game at 3pm. The two teams will then play a doubleheader this Saturday and end the series with a single game on Sunday at 11am.
The Gators batting .237 as a team with two players batting over .300 in
Danny Souza (.357) and
Trevor Diskin (.317). They have three players batting over .280 in
Mark Lindsay (.292),
Dillon Meyer (.282) and
Grady Espinosa (.282).
Nick Jackson leads the Gators with his 8 stolen bases in 10 attempts. The pitching staff is led by
Cory Davis' 2.28 ERA while five pitchers have two wins each in
Taylor Wade,
Nolan Sheridan,
Ryan Bohnet,
Jack Veronin and Davis. Sheridan leads the team with his 25 strikeouts and Davis has a team leading 7 saves.
After this weekend, the Gators will return home for an eight-game home stand beginning with a four-game series with Cal State L.A. on Friday, April 11 at 3pm at Maloney Field.
