SAN FRANCISCO--- The SF State Gator baseball team will travel to Southern California for a four-game series this weekend with the Cal State Dominguez Hills Toros. The series will begin with a single game this Friday, April 25 at 3pm with a single game. The two teams will play a doubleheader this Saturday at noon. The series will conclude on Sunday, April 27 with a single nine-inning game at 11am. All four-games will be played at Toro Field on the campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The Gators are now 19-23 overall and 14-18 in the CCAA, which places them in sixth place. They are 7-3 in their last ten games including taking a four-game series from Cal State L.A. and splitting with then No. 18 UC San Diego this past weekend. In those 10 games,
Bryce Cherry paces the Gators with his .429 batting average, .571 slugging percentage and 9 runs batted in.
Carter Loud is batting .364 with 12 hits while
Mark Lindsay has a .345 average and
Matt Vera is batting .333. Vera also has a team high four doubles.
Dillon Meyer has scored a team high 8 runs and stolen a team leading five bases.
After this weekend, the Gators will have face Cal State East Bay in a four-game series May 2-4. The series will begin on May 2 with a 3pm single nine-inning game at The Swamp at Maloney Field. Then on May 3, the two teams will move the series to Hayward at noon. The series will conclude on Sunday, May 4 at San Francisco at noon. Prior to the game on Sunday, the Gators will recognize their four seniors in
Trevor Diskin,
Grady Espinosa,
Carter Loud,
Dillon Meyer,
Jack Veronin and
Taylor Wade.
