SAN FRANCISCO – Sixth-year head coach
Mike Cummins is pleased to announce that Scott Chiamparino, Vice President of the Boras Corporation will serve as the guest speaker at the 2015 Crab Feed on Saturday, January 24.
Chiamparino, a native of the Bay Area, played his high school ball at Serra High School in San Mateo. Following a spectacular prep career he was recruited by Coach Cummins and accepted a scholarship at Santa Clara University.
After college, he was selected by the Oakland Athletics in the fourth round of the 1987 Amateur Draft. He made his big league debut in 1990 with the Texas Rangers where he pitched for three seasons.
Following his playing career he served as a coach at Saint Mary's College before he started working for his agent Scott Boras. He has been with the Boras Corporation since 1996 where he is now a Vice President.Â
