SAN FRANCISCO – The SF State women's volleyball team, coming off an impressive performance on the attack against Cal State East Bay on Saturday, will play a pair of matches this week, splitting the contests home and away. On Tuesday, the Gators will host Chico State at 7:00 p.m. at the Main Gymnasium at the Don Nasser Family Plaza before traveling south to take on Cal State San Marcos at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Hunter Gymnasium.
The Gators (3-6/1-1 CCAA) ended their two-game skid with a dominating win over the Pioneers at home on Saturday night. SF State had several players set career-bests as the Gators had a season-best on the attack, hitting .287 on the evening.
Senior
Jaclyn Clark led the Gators with 24 kills, a new career-high. She also recorded 11 digs on the night for her third double-double of the year. With 970 career digs, Clark is just 30 digs shy of becoming the sixth player in SF State history to eclipse the 1,000 dig plateau.

Jessica Nicerio continues her assault on the Gators record book. The SF State career-leader in digs currently has 1,495 digs and is 18
th in the nation among career digs leaders. For the year, Nicerio has 122 digs on the season, averaging 4.21 digs per set.
Sophomore middle blocker
Samantha Krakower is having a breakout season for the Gators. In just nine matches played this season, she already has career-highs in ever statistical category. Last week against the Pioneers, Krakower finished with 12 kills on just 28 swings for an impressive .429 attack percentage. On the year she's averaging 1.53 kills per set and hitting .252.
As a team, SF State is hitting .149, averaging 11.7 kills per set. The Gators are currently 29
th in the nation averaging 38.53 attack per set, which is third best in the conference. Their opponents are averaging 13.3 kills per set and hitting .228.
Chico State enters this week with a 10-3 record after earning a split on the road last week. They defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills on Friday in four, before falling to Cal State L.A. on Saturday in straight-sets. As a team, the Wildcats are averaging 12.65 kills per set, and are hitting .211. Their opponents are averaging just 9.80 kills per set and hitting .118.
Leading the Wildcats in kills is sophomore outside hitter Olivia Mediano, who has 167 kills on the year, averaging 3.80 kills per set and hitting .152. Running the attack for Chico State is junior setter Torey Thompson, who has 463 assists on the year, averaging 10.29 assists per set.
Cal State San Marcos has had a rude welcome to the CCAA. The Cougars enter this week with a 3-8 record and are 0-3 in the conference after losing three-straight at home against Humboldt State, UC San Diego and Cal State San Bernardino last week.
As a team, Cal State San Marcos is averaging 12.4 kills per set, hitting .161. Their opponents are averaging 14.0 kills per set, hitting .234. Leading the Cougars in kills is freshman outside hitter Lauren Lee who boasts 105 kills on the year, averaging 2.63 kills per set. Senior setter Lauren Hayes leads the team with 268 assists, averaging 8.93 assists per set.
