SAN FRANCISCO – The SF State women's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of The Swamp this weekend, they will host Bay Area rivals Cal State East Bay and Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday and Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m. 
SF State enters this week's games with an overall record of 4-11 and are 2-7 in the CCAA which is currently 12
th in the conference standings.  The top-eight teams advance to the CCAA Basketball tournament at the end of the season, the Gators are currently two-games back of eighth place.  
Last week, the Gators went 0-2 on the road, falling to Chico State 69-39 on Friday before falling to Stanislaus State 60-47 to wrap up the weekend.  At home the Gators are 3-4 this season. 
As a team, SF State is averaging 50.1 points per game which ranks 13
th in the CCAA, they are shooting 31 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from 3-point range.  Their opponents are averaging 61.8 points per game and shooting 37 percent from the field. 
Leading the team in scoring is senior guard 
Tatsiana Dashkevich, who averages 10.3 points per contest.  Junior forward 
Laura Lawson is leading the team in shooting percentage, shooting 31.7 percent from the field, she is second on the team in scoring as well, averaging 9.5 points per game.  Lawson is also 72
nd in the nation averaging 8.9 rebounds per contest. 
Freshman center 
Kiara Ginwright is the nation's top shot blocker and a big reason SF State is currently fifth in the nation in blocked shots per game.  Ginwright is averaging 4.0 blocks per contest, and has 60 on the year.  The Gators are averaging 5.9 blocks per game and have a total of 89 blocks on the season. 
Cal State East Bay enters Friday's contest with a 13-4 overall record, which includes a 7-2 mark in the CCAA.  On the road this year the Pioneers are 4-1.  After winning 11-straight the Pioneers saw their win streak snapped last weekend by No. 23 UC San Diego in Hayward, falling 56-54.  They wrapped up the weekend dropping back-to-back contests for just the second time all year, losing to Cal State San Bernardino 64-63.  
CSUEB is averaging 66.7 points per contest, and shooting 43 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 54.1 points per game, while shooting 34.5 percent from the field.  The Pioneers have three players averaging better than 10 points a game.  Leading the team with 14.8 points per contest is senior forward Tori Breshers. 
Friday's contest marks the 49
th time these two teams have faced each other.  The Gators hold a 27-21 advantage in the series, but the Pioneers have won nine-straight.  The last time these two teams faced each other CSUEB defeated the Gators 59-45 in Hayward. 
Cal State Monterey Bay enters this week with an overall record of 7-9.  They are 3-6 in the CCAA which has them sitting in eighth place in the conference standings.  On the road this year the Otters are 2-3, and 0-3 in conference play.  As a team, CSUMB is averaging 60.5 points per game and shooting 38.7 percent from the field.  Their opponents are averaging 63.9 points per contest and shooting 39.0 percent from the floor.  
Leading the team in scoring is McKenna Hill who is averaging 12.0 points per contest.  Victoria Dorn I second on the team, averaging 9.1 points per game.  Jazmine Johnson leads the Otters averaging 6.3 rebounds per game. 
Saturday's game marks the 23
rd time these teams have faced each other.  The series is currently knotted up at 11-11 all-time, which dates back to 2005.  The last time out, the Gators defeated the Otters 56-62 on the road.
