SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State women's basketball team returns home this weekend and begins is slate of conference games, hosting Cal Poly Pomona on Friday and Cal State East Bay on Saturday. Friday's contest against the Broncos will be the Gators third annual Purple Out and will be televised on Comcast Hometown Network.
The Gators enter this week with a 2-5 record after going 1-1 last week. SF State opened the week taking down William Jessup 60-52 on Tuesday. The week ended with a 73-62 defeat at the hands of Fresno Pacific down in Fresno.
As a team, the Gators are averaging 60.1 points per contest and shooting 38.4 percent from the field. Their opponents are averaging 65.7 points per game and shooting 40.0 percent from the field. From inside the arc, the Gators are shooting 46.9 percent, going 122-for-260. From 3-point range, SF State has connected on 33-of-134 for a 24.6 3-point field goal percentage.
Next up, the Gators will travel across the Golden Gate Bridge to battle rival Sonoma State at Kentfield College on Dec. 9. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.

Friday's contest will be televised regionally by Comcast Hometown Network, which is Comcast channel 104. Shut Down Defense At Home
The Gators are 2-1 at the friendly confines of The Main Gym at the Don Nasser Family Plaza. In the two wins for SF State, the magic number was 59. The Gators defense limited both Holy Names and William Jessup to less that 59 points, resulting in eight point wins.
Gators On TV
For the third-straight year, SF State will have two games televised by Comcast Hometown Network. The Gators are 1-4 in their televised games with their lone win coming in a thrilling 49-47 victory over Chico State on December 4, 2015. The Gators are averaging 56.6 points per game on TV and shooting 39.9 percent from the field.

Junior forward
Kaitlin DaDalt was named the Female Gator of the Week for her steady play last week. The native of Escalon, Calif., averaged 14.5 points per game, while grabbing eight rebounds per contest. Against Fresno Pacific on Saturday, she scored a career-high 16 points.
Fifth In the CCAA In Scoring
Sophomore guard
Lauryn Catching is off to a hot start. Catching leads the team, averaging 12.7 points per game. Her 89 total points is fifth most in the CCAA. She already has three, 20-point games this year, including a career-high 24-24-point performance against Holy Names.

Senior center
Donae Moguel currently leads the team with 46 rebounds. Her 6.6 rebounds per game is fifth in the conference.
About The Broncos
The Broncos enter this week with an overall record of 2-4. They have lost three-straight. They take on UC San Diego on Tuesday at home before making the trip north to battle the Gators. As a team, they are averaging 56.67 points per game, and shooting 35.3 percent from the field. Their opponents are averaging 58.83 points per game and shooting 39.6 percent from the floor.
Who To Watch
Junior forward Chelsea Waddy-Blow leads the Broncos in scoring and is second on the team in rebounds. She is averaging 9.5 points per game and grabbing 7.0 rebounds per game. The transfer from Chaffey College was the school's first 1,000-point scorer in just two years.

All-time the Gators are 9-39 against Cal Poly Pomona. The series dates back to the 1976-77 season when SF State fell to the Broncos 61-94. Last season, the Gators defeated the Broncos in their only match up, taking down CPP 49-44.
About The Pioneers
Cal State East Bay enters this week with an overall record of 3-3, they went 1-1 last weekend defeating Dominican but falling to Academy of Art. As a team, CSUEB is averaging 64.2 points per game and shooting 42.0 percent from the floor. Their opponents are averaging 60.3 points per game and shooting 37.8 percent. From 3-point range, the Pioneers shoot an economical 34.8 percent going 31-for-89 from beyond the arc.
Who To Watch
The Pioneers have three players averaging more than 10 points per game. Leading the team is senior guard Shomari Harris. Harris is averaging 15.8 points per game, her 96 points is tied for third most in the CCAA. Against Academy of Art she tallied a double-double, scoring 12 points while grabbing 10 rebounds.
Series Versus The Pioneers
The Gators are 29-26 all-time against Cal State East Bay in a series that dates back to the 1975-76 season. In that first match up the Gators defeated the Pioneers 62-48. Currently, CSUEB is riding a 10-game winning streak dating back to the 2011-12 season. The last time these two teams faced each other CSUEB defeated the Gators 70-39 at the Swamp on January 22.
