SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco State women's basketball team returns home this weekend and will play host to a pair of schools from the southern end of the CCAA. On Friday the Gators will host UC San Diego before wrapping up the weekend against Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday. Both games will tip off at 5:30 p.m.
SFSU enters this week with an overall record of 2-12 and are 0-7 in the CCAA. At the friendly confines they are 2-4 this season. As a team, the Gators are averaging 54.0 points per game, while shooting 35.7 percent from the field. They are averaging 33.9 rebounds per game and are currently fourth in the CCAA averaging 3.64 blocks per contest.

Lauryn Catching who is averaging 10.6 points per contest. She is also second on the team with a 38.0 percent field goal percentage. Leading the team in rebounding is senior center

Last Time Out
Last week the Gators went 0-3. SF State opened the week hosting Humboldt State, falling to the Jacks 52-48. They wrapped up the week falling to Cal State L.A. (68-57) and Stanislaus State (58-45) on the road.
Double-Double Donae
Senior center
Donae Moguel had a monster game against the Golden Eagles last Thursday. The native of Los Angeles, Calif., went off for a career-high 25 points and 13 rebounds against the Golden Eagles. The Double-double is the first for SF State since
Laura Lawson recorded her seventh double-double of the season against Sonoma State on Feb. 20, 2016.
Villarruel For Three
The senior guard is on fire from long range. Over her last five games, she leads the Gators shooting 6-for-13 from distance, shooting 46.2 percent from 3-point range. For the year she is 11-for-31 from beyond the arc for a team-leading 35.5 percent from distance.
Fourth Quarter Offense
The Gators are averaging 54.0 points per game this season, and have scored 756 total points. In the fourth quarter is where SF State gets a lot of their production, scoring 216 points in the final period. The Next best quarter for the Gators this season is in the second quarter where they have scored 196 points this season.

Who To Watch
Two players are averaging double figures for the Coyotes. Leading the team is senior forward Mya Johnson who is averaging 13.1 points per game, while also grabbing a team-high 7.6 rebounds per contest. Against Chico State she narrowly missed out on her third double-double of the year, scoring nine points while grabbing 10 boards.
Series Versus The Coyotes
All-time the Gators are 18-24 against Cal State San Bernardino. The series dates back to Dec. 16, 1989 when the Coyotes defeated the Gators at home 65-54.
