How They Scored
  • In the second, Hayley Nunes doubled to left with one down and advanced to third on a passed ball. Lehua DeLeon plated her on a single to left for the first run. After a fielder's choice off the bat of Samantha Alvarez that forced DeLeon out at second,  Jenkins knocked a base hit to center. Next batter Vallejos also singled to center, and advanced to second on the throw, to score Alvarez and Jenkins for the 3-0 lead. HIldan got her second hit in just as many innings on a single to left that plated Vallejos for the 4-0 lead.
  • Another came across in the sixth with Scruggs singling to short, going to second after Celeste Adriano's walk, stealing third, and scoring on Kylee Brown's base hit to center for the 5-0 advantage.
  • The Penguins (7-19) stormed back in the sixth with four runs, two of which came on a two-run single by Dahlen Dennis. Jenkins ended the inning with a nice line drive catch at third and doubled up the runner for the double play to end the bases-loaded jam.
  • Dominican walked off in the seventh as they scored two for the comeback win. Lauren Persi singled home the winning run on a base hit to left-center.
