San Francisco, Calif. – The SF State softball team will play host to a pair of non-conference games against Dixie State on Tuesday at the SF State Softball Field. Game one of the mid-week contest is slated for a 1:00 p.m. first pitch with the second game to follow a half hour after the first game.
The Gators enters Tuesday's games with an overall record of 7-14 after taking one of four from No. 7 Humboldt State on the road over the weekend. SFSU took game one 1-0 on the strength of sophomore starting pitcher

As a team, the Gators are hitting .268, with three starters hitting north of .345. Leading the team is junior shortstop
Courtney Gravel who is hitting at a .391 clip. She leads the team in hits (27), runs (14), home runs (1) and stolen bases (3). Last weekend against the Lumberjacks she was on a tear, hitting .462 for the weekend going 6-for-13 with three runs scored.
In the circle the Gators boast a 5.11 ERA with Gibson leading the team in wins (4) and ERA (4.50). In 10 starts she has thrown 46.2 innings, allowing 60 hits, 30 earned runs with a team-high 26 strike outs. Last weekend she went 1-2 making three starts for the Gators against HSU. In 17 innings pitched she allowed 21 hits, 10 earned runs with 12 strike outs.
Dixie State enters this week ranked No. 22 according to the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association. Last weekend, the Red Storm split a four-game series against No. 3 Cal Baptists, taking the finale 10-7.
The Red Storm's offense is a force, scoring 151 runs in 21 games averaging 7.19 runs per game. All nine starters have scored 10 runs or more. Leading the team at the plate is junior outfielder Bailee Freeland who is hitting .442, she is one of four players hitting over .400 for the Red Storm. The thunder in the lineup belongs to junior catcher Marla Reiter who is hitting .422 and has clubbed seven doubles with a team-high four home runs, while driving in a team-high 25 RBI.
As a team, the Red Storm boast a staff ERA of 3.21, starting pitcher Aryn Feickert leads the team in wins (6), innings pitched (48.1), and strike outs (28).
