LONG BEACH & TORRANCE, Calif. – The throwers and relays led the way on Saturday for the No. 5 San Francisco State Track & Field team as the Gators wrapped up a pair of meets.
 
Over at the Mt. Sac Relays, the 4x400 of Jazmine Smith, Timarya Baynard, Bianca Bryant, and Maya Cook took fifth with a time of 3:40.86. The result is a provisional qualifier in addition to being the fastest time in the country as well as the second-fastest mark in Gator history.  
 
At the Beach Invitational, Courtney Massengale placed tenth in the field of 89 in discus, registering a 53.63m which is an automatic qualifying mark and the fourth-best throw in the country this year. The distance is also a new program record, shattering the previous mark she set last season by nearly three meters.
 
Destiny Mack-Talalemotu wasn't far behind in discus with a 49.74m, and she tossed a 14.60m in shot put for a pair of provisional qualifying marks.
 
The 4x100 of Janelle Bandayrel, Alexis Henry, Kennedi Atkins, and Kiana Lambert ran a 46.52, which is the ninth-fastest time in the nation in addition to being a provisional qualifying time.
 
In the 400m, Henry took 15^th overall with a 56.19, which is a top-ten time in Gator history as well as a personal record. Vanessa Koontz also ran a top-ten program time at 56.74.
 
Bibiana Enriquez led the way in the 800m, crossing in 2:13.05, which is just off her PR of 2:12.84. Myha Castro ran a 2:17.75.
