SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – The No. 1 San Francisco State track & field team trekked on in the outdoor season on Saturday at the Cal Poly ShareSLO Invitational.
Monisha Lewis won the 100m hurdles with program record 13.53, which is another provisional qualifier and the second-fastest time in the country. Also in the 100m hurdles was
Devanique Brown who ran a 14.96 and
Kiana Lambert who posted a 15.60.
Lewis returned in the 400m hurdles for a third-place finish with a 1:03.26, a top-ten time in program history, and
Mireya Tabasa crossed in 1:07.84.
Destiny Mack-Talalemotu won shot put with a provisional qualifying toss of 14.63m, which is a hair off her outdoor personal-best distance.
Courtney Massengale placed third with a 13.58m,
Sabrina Dozier notched an 11.06m,
Marisela Cardenas a 10.85m, and
Jayden Dalton notched a 10.24m.
Massengale led the way for the Gators in javelin, finishing sixth with a distance of 37.69m.
Simone Reynolds (33.42m), and Dalton (32.74m) went back-to-back, while Mack-Talalemotu (31.54m) and
Devanique Brown (30.65m) placed 12
th and 13
th, respectively.
Alison Sexson threw a 29.58m, while
Jessica Tarm notched a 26.10m,
Stephanie Cardenas a 25.88m, and
An Vo a 19.19m.
Massengale once again led the way, this time in discus with a second-place finish and a throw of 49.88m, the third farthest in program history. Mack-Talelemotu was third with a 48.45m, and both throws are well above the provisional qualifying marks. Dozier threw a 38.49m, Sexson a 36.36m, and M. Cardenas notched a 34.06m.
Arianna Prestosa (30.07m) and
Arlene Penaloza (29.34m) rounded out the Gators.
Bianca Bryant won the 800m with a time of 2:13.52 and
Bibiana Enriquez crossed in 2:16.52.
Myha Castro came in closely after at 2:16.96 for fourth, while
Christine Moreno logged a 2:20.84.
Adriana Calva ran a 2:23.90,
Pearl Shoemaker a 2:26.60, and
Sarah Martinez a 2.39.98.
The 4x400 relay placed second with a 3:47.82, which is a provisional qualifier. The second 4x400 squad came in a 4:03.55.
Jazmine Smith led the way for SF State in the 200m with a 24.73, and
Maya Cook followed with a 24.95.
Alexis Henry came in at 25.57, Brown a 26.58,
Jade Jones a 26.65, and Bo a 28.43.
Alexis Henry and
Kennedy Hardemion competed in the 400m, placing fourth and fifth with a 57.29 and a 58.77, respectively.
Triple jump saw Brown post an 11.07m and
Kayla Duclayan a 10.62m. NyErin Byckley rounded out the trio with a 10.12m.
In the 5000m,
Morgan Leonard crossed at 20:15.03 and Charlene Aquilera came in at 20:48.19.
Kennedi Atkins blazed through the 100m in 12.17 and
Kiana Lambert followed with a 12.22. Cook came in 12.34 for 11
th place, Tabasa recorded a 12.65, and Jones rounded out the SF State contingent with a 13.16.
In the 1500, Calva ran a 4.44.90 and Enriquez followed with a 4:47.17.
Magali Arsiniega clocked in at 4:47.76. Castro posted a 4:54.01, Shoemaker a 5:00.56,
Cassie Stansberry notched a 5:08.70, and Martinez ran a 5:20.30.
