SAN FRANCISCO— SF State senior Dylan Phillipy finished in second place at 141 as he lost by a 5-2 decision to Simpson's Anthony Vega.  Phillipy went 3-1 at the open to improve to 21-12 on the season. 
 
Three other Gators posted 4-2 records today in Jordan Gurrola, Isaiah Hurtado and Alex Williams. 
 
Gurrola started the day with a 4-2 decision victory over Brian Ha.  He then lost to Jose Mendoza (Bakersfield) by a 10-4 decision.  The freshman came and won his next three matches including a 7-0 decision over Colorado Mesa's Johnathon Stelling.  Gurrola was eliminated by teammate, Isaiah Hurtado, by a 4-1 decision to fall to 15-8 on the season.
 
Hurtado won his first two matches including winning by a fall (5:20) over Francis Llorente (Southern Oregon-UNA) for his third consecutive win by fall.  He then lost by a 9-6 decision to Cal Baptist's Taylor Hall.  The senior came back and won his two next matches before being eliminated by Bakersfield's Jose Mendoza by a 13-3 major decision.  He is now 26-8 with two duals left in the regular season.
 
Williams also went 4-2 to improve to 9-7 on the season.  He lost his first match and came back and won his next four matches including defeating Cal Baptist's Dakota Thayer by a 5-3 decision.  The senior lost his final match by fall to Colton Schilling (UNA-Cal Poly).

The Gators will return to the mat this Thursday, February 6 as they travel to Atherton, Calif., to face Menlo College Oaks in a 7pm starting non-conference dual.
